I find the most important thing is to find a bank that is not quite so harsh, and has allowed the odd late payment without charging a penalty. As well as this I like them to be flexible and allow me to raise my credit limit if I need to. I know this is difficult to find on comparison websites, sometimes you need to ask a friend for a recommendation, or sometimes just try a few cards out and see how it goes.

The banks have a lot to worry about with the high cost of credit cards and the number of people that are likly to default in the comming years

For me I look for a credit card that offers some form of reward points. I don't worry about the interest rate because I make sure I pay it off before the deadline, that way the credit card works for me and not the other way around.
