How Do I Make Money With A Blog?
How do I make money with a Blog? That was the first question that I asked when I was first introduced to the concept of a “web-log”. I’ve spent the last couple of years, through trial and error, answering that very question.
Simple rule #1
All that a blog really is is CONTENT…and content has value because there are hundreds of millions of people a day searching for ANSWERS to their questions or solutions to their problems. I produce content about once a month, and I try to deliver that content as answers to questions. I consider myself the average joe, and when I google, I ask a questions. For Example: “What is a good pizza recipe?”
Simple rule #2
It is OK to include advertisements and sponsors near your content! Google is so good at delivery of relevant advertisments, including adsense ads on your site actually ENHANCES your readers experiences by making it even easier for them to find what they need.
Simple Ruly #3
Blogging must be fun before it will be profitable. From day one I was excited about the challenge of making money online! With the skills that you can acquire online, come economic meltdowns or high water, it is truly possible to make a darn good living by providing content and selling “value” on the Internet…not that is fun to me.
Simple Rule #4
Keep evolving your online strategy. I believe that the best blog is the one that gets your “feet wet” to the world of online revenue. For me, this blog has led to full blown e-commerce, iPhone applications, distribution businesses, and my newest venture into the service world of Local Logic. The world wide web is changing daily, and it is critical to stay on top of the wave!

I hadn’t realized you had changed your strategy to write only once a month; that explains some things to me. I hope you’re realizing your online goals for making money; I make an assumption that if you are making money online it’s not only through this blog. Go for what you know, and eventually you’re going to be really successful.

>the service world of Local Logic
Is that a brand or company or is “local Logic” a new term I haven’t heard of? What is Local Logic?

Blogging is all about the numbers. The more quality content, the more links, the more traffic you have, the more money you should be making
I am also confused about “local logic” – Pray enlighten me some more as to what this is all about.

Yes, it’s all about the numbers. It’s not just a case of quality over quantity but both.
Till then,

Nice tips, thanks for sharing, content is king, more it is original, useful, more people will like themand become a regurlar reader of your blog. However, adding Adsense in content, it may be annoying for some readers… ^^’

Adsense is fine in a blog so long as it is not the dominant feature, just like the way it is integrated on this site. No too much *in your face* and a reasonable colour match with the main theme.
I don’t use Adsense on my blog as I have other ways of making money and the blog is more like a hub for linking the other sites together, some of which are still on my whiteboard

I’m not crazy about adsense- rather do it myself.
You bring up a good point- blogging does have to be fun first.

Hi,
I visit your blog often and I was wondering why you had so few updates. Yes, I as well changed my blogging routine from 4 times a week to 3 times a week and now even just 2 times a week to maintain quality.

Nice post. All good points but so many people give up before they keep evolving. If only they would have done a little bit more.

Yeah, if something seems too good to be true-it probably is! I’m not very familiar with digital marketing but there’s bound to be both positive and negative feedback. I think the important thing to do is what you mentioned above which is research into it as much as possible. I would also try to contact those who have used the service and were either unsatisfied or completely satisfied with it to get their personal opinions.

Your rule #3 is very true. Writing about what you like makes the entire process more fun. Making money with a blog is slow in the beginning, and writing on a favorite topic makes the lean money days a bit easier to handle.

Making money with a blog is slow in the beginning and the MIDDLE.
You must love to read and write to produce a good blog. If you don’t love reading and writing, forget having any kind of success.
