Thanks for the update Mike. I'm not sure that I would be suitable for the site and I know I don't want to waste their time, but will keep Haro in mind once I get more free time to do it some justice.

@Sire: It's not about a warm and fuzzy feeling at all. (Well, maybe it could be...) It's about getting the recognition and publicity that you deserve, but might not be able to get if you don't use a PR firm!

HARO is incredibly simple, and not too time-consuming. Once you sign up, you'll get three emails every business day ... every email is full of reporters who need experts to help them with quotes and relevant information for their stories.

It's totally free, and I've landed my clients (and myself) in BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur and many trade publications just by responding to those emails.

@Almost Millionaire: Thanks for the link love! It was great to finally meet you in person ... I think there are some big opportunities for us to work together coming very soon. Keep in touch!

In that case it sounds pretty good. The problem is that I reckon most people will think that they may not have anything to offer when the truth is they probably do. I'm a little strapped for time at the moment, but when things change I may give them a go.

@sire
Whenever they use your contribution, they either plug you in their final product, send you a copy of their article, or link back to your blog when appropriate.
Great question!

So, apart from that warm and fuzzy feeling you get for helping a reporter out, is there any form of reward for your intellectual contribution, whether it be monetary value or a simple link to one of your blogs?
