I suppose it is stating the obvious, that if you don’t love what you do then you certainly won’t get very far doing it. I know a couple of people who loved their jobs, but were held back by the hierarchy, so what did they do? They went into business for themselves and did very well at it as well.

I couldn't agree more with your point about doing what you love. I see a lot of people who don't make a lot of money at their jobs but they are much happier than others who make more but hate their job.
