The government and the big corporations (especially the banks) are joined at the hip.
Until we replace our elected oficials nothing will change. They all need to be replaced for meaningful change to happen.
Everyone hates Congress but votes their own guy back in - your guy is the problem.
Vote him out!!!
Vote them all out!!!

You guys think Capital One is bad? I have been a Chase customer for over 25 years. I have my checking, retirement, mortgage on credit card with them. They offered me one of those zero percent balance transfer deals, so I took it. It posted to my checking account on Thursday, and Monday, they reversed it (charged me a fee), saying the card was invalid. Their explaination was that the transfer check was for a closed account. They closed the account and issued a new card when I complained about an unauthorized charge. However, they sent me the checks after they closed the old card. I went to my local branch, where a very pleasant (yet retarded) rep told me there was nothing they could do. I got on the phone to the credit card people, and was told the same. I called the branch and asked to talk to someone with a brain, and after being bounced from one incompetent moron to the next, finally lost my cool and started yelling at them. The next thing I know, I get a letter from Chase telling me if I enter one of their branches, I will be arrested for trespassing. This is how Chase treats a very long time loyal customer. I believe all banks suck. I guess it's time to go back to only dealing with cash.

Capital One is full of idiots and liars. I was able to modify my mortgage and work with Chase on another credit card and Capital One employees said we can are not big enough to work with you like Wachovia and Chase. I was willing to pay them over time at a reduced rate and they refused. They charged off and now they are taking me to court. They are the worst place in the world.

Well it's been two years since we all received our "due to tough times" letter.... and I just got off the phone with a rep. This is classic! I have a card with them since 2006. Before these tough times I had my interest rate down to 11% (secure card to repair credit) from 19.8%. Tough times come and they say that they have to put my card up to 22% but I can still close it if I want. I stuck with them as it was the only card I had. Yesterday I get a "junk letter" from them advertising to get the same card I have at an interest rate of 19.8% (so lower than what I currently am at). So I call them up and they tell me that the only way to get that interest rate is to pay off the balance, close the account and apply again for a card. Sorry we don't care about the fact that you have been with us for 5 years, that you made all your payments on time and more than minimum, or that you used to have a really good interest rate there is nothing we can do. Oh and the best part about the conversation..... when he asked me why my interest rate went up and I told him about the letter we all got in 2009 he said "I've never heard of that before"!!! What a fucking moron

Worst Bank Ever!!! Wish I did research before signing up for an online checking account. They have been nothing but completely horrible with my money and my account. They don't value their customers or their employees.

I chat which is a waste of timke because the person is an $8hr person!!! So I call and get a jerk that the check wasn't paosted until the 23rd and I sign it and gave it to the tire company on the 19th!!! he swiped it in the check machine and I thought I was doing the right thing and pay them off in 6 months but I'm screwed with the late date that the check was POSTED!!!! 4 days to post a check??? Sure thing!!! I will get my money back from them one way or another!!!

This is the worst card out there. I have negotiated reasonable interest rates with Chase and B of A and Capital One will not negotiate with me for a lower rate even though I have been rebuilding my credit, no missed payments, and am paying down my balace without any additional purchases. I told them on the phone they are the worst company out there and I would never do business with them once the balance is paid.
